Dear Comrades,

Reg: All India Agitation and Strikes on UCO Bank – Extend all support

Having regard to the deteriorating industrial relations approach of the management of UCO Bank, our unit, viz. All India UCO Bank Employees’ Federation, after exhausting all avenues, has given the call for agitational programmes including strike actions on the following demands.

Attack on Bilateralism
Exploitation of workforce
Management’s contemptuous approach towards workforce
Attempts to unilaterally alter service conditions
Attack on trade union rights
Inadequate recruitments
Mal-implementation of IR and MR Policy
Non implementation of bilateral understandings

Their agitational programmes including strike actions as under:

Letter from AIBEA to CMD, UCO Bank: From the AIBEA we have addressed a letter to the Chairman and Managing Director of UCO Bank seeking his immediate and positive intervention and informing him that if the management does not come forward to resolve the issues amicably by discussion with AIUCBEF, then AIBEA will be compelled to organise solidarity programmes by all other bank employees.

Solidarity letters by our units: All our units are requested to send their protest letters to the management of UCO Bank demanding immediate resolution of the issues raised by AIUCBEF and to maintain proper industrial relation policy which is very vital for a Bank like UCO Bank to progress. Draft of this letter will be sent separately to all units.

Hold solidarity demonstrations: On all the above strike days in the respective Circles of UCO Bank, our State Federations should extend their full support and solidarity in these strike actions and help them to make the programme a success and also arrange to hold demonstrations before UCO Bank by all other employees on the day of the strike or the previous day evening.
