High Command Culture In Banks

Concept of sanction of loan and approval of big projects through a team of five or seven persons called as  "Credit Approval Committee" will prove to be a failure . Lending decisions in banks are though taken by CAC or Management Committees or purchase committee or even Board of Directors as per guidelines issued by RBI and MOF last year, But  in practice the views of Regional heads or Zonal heads or Bank head prevails. In our country culture of High commands prevails either due to  the fact that majority of persons in such committees are of poor knowledge or poor skill in expression or suffering from  fear psychosis

When we talk of cabinet decisions it is only the idea of High command of ruling party and a few ministers which is blindly endorsed by other ministers associated with cabinet in Parliament. Ninety percent of total Members of Parliament are silent spectator and they more often than not, blindly follow the line of action dictated by High command or a few powerful ministers constituting lobby around high command because most of them are practically sick either due to  poor knowledge or poor skill in expression or due to fear psychosis among other members of such CAC or BOD or Cabinet .

Parliamentary Democracy is no more for debate and discussion .it is to say YES or NO on a bill toeing party line blindly. Even at party forum, none of parties invite debate and discuss a issue before they announce the same in public.

Similarly all decisions in banks either on lending or for write off of bad loans or for approval of any bulk buy of goods and services are undertaken by a few powerful executives and other officials are simply signing on the place meant for them. Most of the officers act as rubber stamp as our President of India act as rubber stamp on all decisions taken by government of India. 

This is Indian style of functioning  where most of the executives do not have any say or do not have courage to put forward their protest on wrong decisions. Officers in general are bothered of their self gain, personal interest and own career upgradation. 

There are hardly a few who really bothers for the organization they serve. This is why flattery and bribery is more rampant in entire administrative machinery and the entire  system is therefore tagged as corrupt,biased, prejudiced, inactive and ineffective. Similarly there are hardly a few Members of Parliament who really bother for the gain or loss to the country , but majority of them are busy in accumulating wealth for their family and friends.

How to change this culture is a million dollar question and which every lovers of the country should ponder over .Banks are backbone of Indian economy and hence if banks are unsafe , the country will be at risk and People will have to suffer sooner or the later.


India Does Not Need Honest Officers

India does not need good officers. India need flatterers who are always ready to say YES on all right or wrong orders of his boss.Officers has to extend red carpet welcome to his boss, he has to earn bribe and share with bosses honestly,offer precious gift on all his visit to this office, offer valuable gifts on all functions , arrange five star hotels for his boss as well as for kith and kin of his boss. Only such officer can survive and others have to keep their head low. None of court can ensure justice for honest officers and none of the courts can punish ill-motivated bosses or politicians.
