Bank Manager Shot Dead

Bank manager shot dead--Business Standard 04.01.2014

A 25-year-old bank official was allegedly shot dead by unidentified assailants near Sulaghat under Payagpur police station area here this afternoon. 

R N Thakur posted as branch manager of Allahabad UP Gramin Bank was going to Gonda in connection with some official work when motorcycle-borne assailants shot him and fled with his bag, Superintendent of Police Mohit Gupta said today. 

Thakur succumbed to the injuries while he was being taken to the hospital, SP said, adding that efforts are on to trace the assailants and ascertain if the bag snatched from him contained bank cash. 

The deceased belonged to Patna's Kankadbagh colony.

Branch Manager, Katuanala Branch under Zonal Office, Gonda was shot dead today at around 10:30 AM by some unknown miscreants. Sri. Thakur was coming to Zonal Office, Gonda to submit his branch closing return of Dec'13.
