2014 Year For Bank Strikes

New Year to begin with a host of bank strikes-Times of India 29.12.2013
INDORE: The New Year is likely to begin with a host of bank strikes and thus marring the business growth of the state and the country as a whole. 

After already going on strike on December 18, bank employees and officers observed all India bank strike on 20-21 January, 2014, demanding immediate wage revision settlement and opposing the banking reform policies of the government. A total of 40,000 bank staff is likely to be on strike in the Madhya Pradesh, resulting in bringing business activity to a standstill here. 

However, this is not all. On the call given by all India Dena Bank Employees' Association, the Mp branch of the bank employees union will be observing bandh on January 31. Of course, there are quite a few other bank emplo9yees unions within the state too that are supporting the strike which include All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and MP Bank Employees' Association, informed general secretary of MP Dena Bank Employees Union, MG Shinde. 


Meanwhile, a demonstration was staged by the agitating bank employees in front of the zonal office of Dena Bank in Bhopal on December 27. The stirring employees are demanding an immediate ban on the outsourcing of regular banking jobs by the bank management and the sudden increase in the powers of the single window clerks.

  1. but bank employee condn is worst then private employee as in domestic call center astt mngr has no risk then also he is getting 40 thosnd but in bank some time u have to pay from ur pocket
