Dear Friends,
As all are aware, the Charter of Demands on wage revision under 10th BPS,including pensioners demands was submitted to IBA, by UFBU on 30th Oct 2012.

During the 5th round of BPS talks(held on 11th Oct) also IBA failed to come out with any offer on wage increase to employees.Pensioners demands/issues may come for discussion only after serving employees issues are finalised. The negative attitude shown by IBA in Bipartite talks is not anyway favorable for an early settlement.

Assessing the mood and the restiveness of the rank and file , it was decidedU by the 9 Unions to hold a demonstration on 22-10-2013 at all the State Capitals and Major centres with a single point agenda of “Expeditious wage settlement”.

Even after holding demonstrations in major centres MOF /IBA has not shown any positive sign to move ahead for early settlement. The only alternative and last resort left to UFBU is a call for bank strike. Few Constituents of UFBU have already expressed their views on this line.

One thing is certain that united and consistent actions will only solve the issues confronting employees as well as retirees. As informed earlier, the CC is meeting of AIBRF,is scheduled at Bengaluru, on 16th -18th Nov to discuss organisational matters.Hope the current developments may also be focused during the meet.

UFBU is meeting on 21st Nov’13,at Mumbai,to decide future course of action against negative attitude of IBA on wage revision talks.

Retirees/Pensioners are looking forward on resolving their long pending demands/issues through direct negotiations with IBA. Retirees organisations' demand on participation in negotiation process,on issues pertaining to them, is yet to be considered by IBA.

  4. The UFBU at last decided to meet themselves for the Early Wage Revision matter. They have to chalk out a programme which should hurt the Govt. financially. Then only the Govt will push the IBA for an early wage revision for the Bankers.

  6. Dear all,
Do you find all your leaders sharing the negotiation table for your wage revision, so strong headed that they would really go for indefinite strike to meet your expectations and put pressure on the Govt. and IBA to expedite the wage revision process. Half of them have retired from the banks' service and still leading you with their personal agendas only. Better try your luck after electing people with firm spinal cord, when your election process completes in all ur respective associations.
