CIRCULAR NO. 018/2013 DATED: 16.09.2013
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
NOBW IS NOT ON STRIKE ON 25TH SEPT. 2013
NOBW is not participating in the Strike on 25th September 2013 though a joint strike call is given by AIBEA and BEFI on that date. The proposed strike is against Banking Sector Reforms, Merger and Consolidation of Banks, Merger of Associates banks in SBI and New Banking Licences to Corporate Houses. These issues were came up for discussion in last UFBU meeting dated 6th July 2013 held at Chennai but there were no discussions with regard to any strike call. However, AIBEA & BEFI has given this strike call unilaterally and without any reference to constituent unions of UFBU.
On the request of the AIBEA and BEFI, UFBU decided to extend fraternal support to the strike action of AIBEA & BEFI in their struggle against anti-National reform measures being implemented by the Government. We reiterate that members of NOBW will not be party to the Strike Call on 25th September 2013.
