A Short and Simple Duty List Of a Branch Manager:

(Arranged routine)
1. To wake up early and check sms of higher ups, customers, ATM related or Complaint related received in mobile, if any and respond.
2. To the Branch before time and open the shutter for others.
3. To send Begin the Day Signal
4. To Take Printout of BOD Signal
5. To Print Previous Day Reports and check
4. To check the Clearing Session Enquiry
5. To check the emails and respond
6. To read e circulars and update himself
7. To read local announcements and update and prepare the work schedule of the day accordingly if he will be able to manage that way
8. To pass on the important details in announcement and circulars to staff members
9. To read financial and other newspapers and enter related instructions from news, circulars, announcement, inwards in to a register
10. To read new inwarda and respond, update himself n staff and mark off in register with done same
11. To interact with all walkin customer for any service enquiry
12. To keep customer happy, be patient n polite n alert in responding customer i.e. cobra post, customer complaint anything can happen
13. To prepare and keep a list of previous day's work done i.e. No.of account opened, No. of RD, No. of FD, No. of HNI customer, INB issued, MB issued, NPA reduce, NPA increase, Loans sanctioned disbursed processed and sourced product wise, etc etc
14. To receive and respond to calls of customer, higher ups n their desk reporters, other departments
15. To visit the branch premise and check cleaniness, security and other arrangements
16. To record the above visit
17. Market new deposit
18. Market new advance
19. Market new cross selling products
20. To call and meet HNI
21. To follow up with existing NPA account for reduction
22. To follow up with about to NPA account for recovery
23. To check todays installment dues and recover or call if not installment is served
24. To check the correct product code in accounts
25. To check correct security value in product
26. To check correct interest rate in accounts
27. To check correct renewal and expiry dates
28. To followup with customers for required papers
29. To sanction, disburse the loan as fast as customer wish or be ready for customer complaint
30. To check Complaints and resolve, ignore ur own self respect if u have to do so but resolve
31. To pass all Qs. To Sign against all columns in all registers
32. To check the stationary inventory
33. To call stationary department for stationary else manage from outside and take a risk
34. To check the hardware inventory and working condition and record it
35. To check the space, registers in different area of bank premise and sign wherever required
36. To check the suspense and other office accounts
37. To balance all office accounts
38. To do all pre and post sanction visits
39. To maintain record of all these in paper and register daily
40. To do HRM work and login on different sites on daily basis
41. To interact with staff and have cordial relations with all to get work done
42. To manage shortage of staff
43. To provide all services to customers
44. To main some redudant registers for external compliance
45. To pay bills
46.To deduct taxes
47. To send TDS n returns on time
48. To send reports for control or sanction
49. To mange the customer till the control or sanction is not arrived
50. To act helpless against customer if sanction not arrive in time
51. To document every process while giving advance/ taking depost/ misc business/ cash or other transactions
52. To check todays work at the End of Day
53. To send End of Day signal
54. To prepare for next day plan which will not executed
55. To prepare n complete pending work
56. To leave the branch, close shutter, do all locking of premise urself because nobody will be present that late
57.To reach the home early i.e. 8 or 9 pm min
58. To live happy and look happy for family and society
59. To attend review and other meeting
60. To get appreciation if something done good
61. To get scold off for every other thing
62. To listen to all things which you already know
63. To send monthly confirmation in monthly certificate that all procedures complied, complied or not
64. Respond to control or certificate comments and record it
65. Submit Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearlt and Yearly reports and data
66. To look presentable all time and be ready for any surprise visits of higher ups, outsider from govt. departments
67. Be responsible for not taking call, not replying, not making customer happy, not complying govt. instructions, not complying internal verbal or non verbal instructions
68. To motivate himself, staff, family that one day it will be good
69. To manage staff behaviour
70. To comply everything above without fail, with smile, with no mistake and live happily

ReplyDeleteWhen I became Head cashier in 2002, I was handed over a list of 29 duties. I was taken aback ! If I followed them, there was no need of a Branch Manager also, what to talk of fellow clerical staff.
